On Wednesday, March 26th, the PTA will host its first clean up event in the courtyard garden from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Whether you have a green thumb or not, please bring your favorite gardening tools and your boundless energy and together we’ll make a good start on returning the garden to a splendid retreat. You are welcome, and encouraged, to bring your children of all ages. Letting them work in the garden will help develop feelings of ownership and pride in them.

The Golden Acorn Award is given by the PTA for recognition of a volunteer who has given outstanding service to all children in the school community.

The PTA honored Parwood’s wonderful support staff during Support Staff Appreciation Week with a bountiful breakfast of muffins, scones, bagels and cream cheese, yogurts, quiches, granola, donuts, fresh fruit, and juices. We also left them a varied selection of CDs to choose from.
Many thanks to all the PTA members who contributed their time and food to this worthwhile event. The breakfast, as well as so many other things at Parkwood, would not have been possible without all of you.
And an extra special thanks to Heather Petersen who, in addition to providing her time and lots of food, has been our source for all of the wonderful CDs and DVDs that we’ve been able to give out this year.
