Mark your calendars for Parkwood’s Back-to-School BBQ. It is a wonderful opportunity for the children and the parents to come back together at the end of the summer and get reacquainted, as well as a nice chance to welcome new students and families to our school.
The BBQ will be held on Wednesday, August 26th, from 5:30 - 7:30 at the ball court on the south side of the school. Hot dogs, chips, soda, and water will be sold. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.
The Shoreline School District is holding a regular board meeting at the Shoreline Center Board Room on Monday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. Please join fellow parents and the PTA in showing support for our teachers as they get ready to bargain their next contract. Our school and district are nothing without the expertise and dedication of our wonderful teachers. Please come out and show your support.

Chess club and piano lessons are going to be available this year! Watch for notices regarding student activities being held after school. While they will take place at Parkwood they are not district or school sponsored. Rather, they are organized through the PTA.
Both piano lessons and chess club notices will be coming home in your student’s folders. We hope you will join us! If you have a suggestion for an activity or would like to teach an activity please let me know. Thanks!
