- Chinese Class - visitor/potential instructor - Hua Zhang. Class would take place once a week; 1 to 2 days a week b/f or after school; 10-12 students; parent volunteer required; appr $8 per class; scholarships possible; to start @ 4/15/10. Instructor has been teaching @ Meridian for 4 years and program as been successful.
- Budget - Scholoarships - $200 for Chinese class and $150 for music class.
- One World - PTA support to Mary Survais; discussed PTA’s participation; incorporating traditions of Heritage Night; JS to put info in newsletter and LP in flyers.
- Brown Bag - JS advised Sue Walker discussed law suit and legislative update; enrollment decreases; cirriculium and onlye support to start in fall; standard curriculims as respects to mastering math; and “compression” math discussed.
- Fundraising ideas - JS - raffel tickets and bake sale, talent show as spring fundraiser date tba; One Word - Apr 29th.
- Guest speaker scheduled for Apr tba to be shared w/ Highland for Nature.
- We need nominations @ next committee for volunteers—for General Meeting and June Board Meeting.
